Got an email from Holli saying that Bishops office called (Erin) and got hold of them.

I meet with Todd Shapiro who is a PR person that Holli hooked up me up with, they are behind our cause and are working now to set up meetings with both Congressmen Israel and Bishop at the same time as well as setting up meetings with the congressmen along the way of the walk.

Flew to Florida to see my folks, my Dad has 3 to 6 months left to live and I wanted to see him before I go back in the woods. When we meet at the door we cried, we cried because we were glad to see one another and because there is the knowing that there won’t be many more times, this moment is precious. We talked about regrets, regrets are no good unless you do something about them. Just to acknowledge them is something, to amend them is healing. What regrets do I have to heal?

While down here I am practicing staying in touch with the rest of the world thru the computer, getting me ready for the trail. I had gotten a call from CBS (Eric Berlin), they want to interview me and support what we are doing and want to talk about an interview next week.

Got an email from Raheem who said he is dying and has regrets for he spent his life working and now wants to make amends by giving me 35 million $ to give to charity for him, I would get to keep 10 million. I wrote him and told him to give the money away himself, why trust me a total stranger to do what he can do since he is still alive, this way he can get to see what joy his money is bringing to the world. Being skeptical I am curious if it is a scam, if it is how sad. How many times have I manipulated someone thru their greed, grief or other emotion to get what I want and sometimes I wonder why there is no peace in the world?

Up at 4 am to make it to the Airport then home, talked to some of the attendants giving them our card so they can write. One attendant asked, what can I do, I told him to write and he was doubtful; I told him because people have been writing Congressmen know who I am and it does make a difference, he makes a difference.

My brother picked me up at the Airport and brought me home, 45 minutes later I went to Mercy High School and gave a talk to about 300 students. My public speaking is getting better, when I looked out there at them I was reminded of when I sat out there in their seat. Nothing was impossible and I could do anything., then I thought of when I got older and disillusioned giving away my power. One girl asked what good would writing one letter do, what difference would it make? I said it would make a difference to you, you are doing it for you because you care. I realized I was there to help them make a difference, to give their plea a voice by uniting them.

Caught up with a few phone calls, emailed back to students that heard me talk and want to get more involved. I am finding someone to work with me here while I am in the woods.
